Matteo Badilatti wins stage 6 of the Tour du Rwanda 2023.
Swiss rider Matteo Badilatti of the Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team made it into stage 6 of the Tour du Rwanda 2023 after an impressive performance from Rubavu district to Gikumbi, in which he rolled over the finish line to seal a good day on the road.
The 30-year-old wears a stage winner’s jersey after covering 157km from Rubavu Home of Amstel to Gikumbi in 4h 11’05”, 120km of the race with Eritrean Akilu Arefen to lead the group resists the pressure of the peloton at the K mark. Climb Mount Tetero.

According to the general classification after stage 6, Bike Aid’s young Rwandan rider Eric Muhoja is 6th with a time of 23h 52m and 20″, just 11 seconds behind yellow jersey holder Lacerf William Jr of Soudal Quick-Step .
Belgian William Junior Lecerf is in control of the 2023 race with a 2-minute lead over second-placed Budiak Anatoly.
Stage 7, the final stage, is scheduled for this Saturday, starting in the Eastern Province district of Bugesera, ending at Mont Kigali with a total distance of 115.8 km.
