Olympic Games 2020 bronze medallist, Samuel Taki on Friday visited the office of the Ghana Olympic Committee and met with the Treasurer Mr. Fred Acheampong who doubles as a member of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Executive Committee.
Fred Acheampong has asked the 2020 Olympic Games bronze medalist to stay focused, determined to succeed and put away some luxuries as all will multiply when he becomes world champion.
Takai heeded the advice and promised to remain disciplined, focused and work hard to make his dream of winning a world title a reality.
Also known as the Ring Warrior, he said that the experience of fighting in the professional ranks in South Africa, Nigeria and Ghana has built his confidence, courage and psychology.
Taki thanks the GOC treasurer and expresses hope that he will be given an Olympic scholarship, as he prepares for his second appearance at the Olympic Games.
“I want to make history as the first boxer from Ghana to represent our country at two Olympic Games, and I’m not just going, but going for the gold,” he expressed.
