Three men have been remanded in police custody for allegedly burgling an office at the Association International School, Airport in Accra.

The trio is said to have taken away the laptop and its belongings, calculator, and power bank, among other things.
They are Abdul Wahab Isshaku, a 50-year-old scrap dealer, Godstime Joseph Edoho, a 50-year-old unemployed, and Michael Aviter, a 50-year-old unemployed.

All three have been charged with abetting the crime.
The author has also been charged with trespassing and theft.

The aviator pleaded guilty to the charges, but the court deferred his sentencing.

However, two of his accomplices denied the various allegations before a court presided over by Mrs Afia Owusuwa Appiah.

The prosecution, led by Inspector Wisdom Alorvu, said the complainant, name withheld, was the personal assistant to the head of Association International School, Airport Residential Area.

It said that in early 2023, police gathered information that Issaku had recruited Edoho and Avitar and allegedly placed them in Achimota for the purpose of a theft operation.

The prosecution said that on the basis of information, the police kept a watch on the activities of the accused persons.

It states that on February 23, 2023, the complainant went to work and found the office of the head of the school ransacked and ransacked.

He found that a MacBook Airy laptop computer valued at $2,000 and a MacBook Pro laptop computer valued at $3,000 and a power bank and charger, other belonging to the school, were stolen.

The complainant reported the matter to the police and Avitar was arrested.

The prosecution said in the investigation statements of Avitar, he confessed to the crime and led the police to arrest the other accused persons.

Issahaku and Edoho have also admitted their guilt.

Prosecutors said Issahku indicated to police that he had handed over the stolen items to his co-financier Asare.

It states that when Issahku led the police to Asare’s house, Asare had fled.
