Ever since the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade last year, the fight for abortion has been waged at the state level, something Fonda is extremely passionate about as expressed on Friday’s installment of “The View.”
Fonda said, “We’ve had decades of experience of having agency over our own bodies to be able to determine when and how many children to have. Prominent pro-life advocate Abby Johnson told Fox News Digital Fonda that he was not “joking” as Behar claimed to his audience.
“The irony is that a woman defending the killing of the unborn would call for the killing of those defending the unborn. That is exactly what we can and should expect from the Left. They have no dignity for any human life ,” Johnson said.
Kristen Hawkins, president of Students for Life of America, accused Fonda of saying that “people who are inconvenient” should be killed.
Hawkins told Fox News Digital, “Forget ‘safe, legal and rare,’ the ‘abortion’ mentality makes anyone wish death on an unwanted person, even if they’re in office.” “Getting rid of people for the sole and shallow reason that you don’t want them around has led to the deaths of millions, and Jane Fonda has shown once again that her so-called interest in human rights is only for those who who think like them.”

Pro-life lawmakers have also raised alarm bells over Fonda’s comments.
Representative Anna Paulina Luna, R-Fla., said she “has notified Capitol Police” because “we are taking this threat very seriously” because the actress did not clarify whether she was joking.
Luna tweeted, “Calling for the assassination of pro-life politicians is not only dangerous but it is incredibly sick. It is targeted and can seriously hurt someone.”
“The hosts claimed that Fonda deserves a Nobel Prize and mocked her heinous comments,” said Rep. Byron Donalds, R-Fla. reacted. “To pro-life Americans across our great country, stay strong and know that I will always have your back on Capitol Hill.”

Fox News Digital contacted the nation’s most prominent pro-choice groups, including the Center for Reproductive Rights, the National Abortion Federation, Planned Parenthood Federation for America, the Women’s March, the National Women’s Law Center and Ultraviolet. None of them responded to requests for comment.
